The Capstone

The unfinished pyramid first appeared on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States in 1782 and on the dollar bill from 1935. The Latin inscription Novus Ordo Seclorum — New Order of the Ages — appears beneath it. The eye above the pyramid, known as the Eye of Providence, was placed deliberately. The pyramid has thirteen courses of stone — thirteen colonies, thirteen Masonic degrees depending on the source. The capstone floats above, separated, unconnected.

The eye above the incomplete pyramid signals an unfinished project — a world still being constructed toward an endpoint the designers understood and the public did not. The floating capstone communicates that the structure is not yet complete. Those who placed it there understood what completion meant. The symbol was a transmission from those who held the blueprint to those who could read the language.

The pyramid is unfinished because we are unfinished. The eye at the top is not watching from above — it is the eye of every person who wakes to see the structure for what it is. The capstone floats, detached, because it was never meant to land. The inverted pyramid below is the doctrine made visual: the symbol of control becomes the symbol of awareness. What was used to communicate power downward now communicates knowledge outward.

The upright pyramid above — the original symbol of hierarchical power, the structure being built toward completion. The inverted pyramid below — the inversion principle applied, the symbol redistributed, the decoder made wearable. The eye does not choose a side. It sees both. The person who wears this has looked at the structure and chosen to carry the decoder.
